Hello there! Another weekend down in the books. Let’s review, shall we?

Friday

Friday was our last day before the detox began…so we decided to part ways and get what sounded good to us for dinner. For her: sushi, for him: Jose’s. So typical.

We caught up on American Idol and then went to bed super early. Just call us grandma and grandpa!

Saturday

Saturday. Oh, Saturday. It started out with a workout at the gym and then the beginning of our detox. Of course we fueled with green smoothies:

I tried adding a bit of kale this time, instead of my usual all spinach recipe, and it was still delicious. We also had our first juice from our juicer (that I forgot to take a picture of)!

Once we get the juicing thang down I’ll be sure to share some of our favorite concoctions.

Then it started to go a bit downhill. You see, Ryan was in charge of our date night this month. He decided to take us to the public museum, since we’ve lived here for over two years and had yet to go.

We get there, and apparently they randomly closed early this weekend for a special exhibit. This has happened to us the last three times we’ve had a date night! What the heck!

We ended up stopping at Kohl’s and going to the Saturday church service but maybe we’ll not count on other people (or other places) for our next date night.

Sunday

Sunday was meal prep day for the week. I made this Carrot Apple Ginger soup and some roasted chickpeas to have as snacks.

So addicting!

Fresh ginger is the only way to go.

Of course our Sunday will wrap up with The Walking Dead and snuggling with the Murph man.

Toodles for now!

Question: Has anything unexpected happen to you on a date?

That same thing happened to me when I tried to take my family to the public museum. Hmm, curious! Roasted chickpeas are incredibly addicting! And I love that picture of Murphy!!

Weird! Apparently we need to call places to make sure they are open (even though the hours say that they are…)

I haven’t been to the museum in years. I remember on our first date, Brenton forgot his wallet. That was unexpected!
