Hello, hello on this blizzard-y Sunday! At least it’s blizzard-y here in Milwaukee. I’m gonna make this short and sweet (just like the weekend was!)
Friday was thelongestdayever and I was excited to come home and just crash. We stayed true to our Friday night pizza night and had a simple pizza with red pepper, pepperoni and cheese with some kale chips. I found it in me to get our grocery shopping done too. Most times I’m excited to go grocery shopping but I was in and out of there in no time.
We slept in a bit and then I headed to the gym to run/walk a 5K on the treadmill. I’m much more likely to go to the gym on the weekend if I get up and go as soon as I get up.
I came back to clean up the apartment (how does a small space still get so much stuff everywhere?) and relaxed a bit.
Later on, I headed to David’s Bridal to try on a bridesmaid dress.
Ugh, that store. I’m pretty sure the woman who was working with me told me I would probably gain weight in the next 8 months. Um, what?
We went to the evening service for church since we were already heading to a surprise cheese and wine birthday party that was close by.
The party was fun. I ate way too much delicious cheese though. When in
Wisconsin Rome though.
Since we went to the evening service we got to sleep in and it was glorious. Ryan usually makes breakfast on the weekends (not really on purpose, it just happens that way) so we had a leisurely morning with coffee, eggs, and sausage.
I finished up Matched by Ally Condie (my feelings are very meh on the book) and then started meal prepping. I’m hoping to have my next meal planning post up soon showing how I prep on the weekends. Good times.
I really winged the veggie burger recipe and it turned out pretty decent! Also on tab for posts coming up.
After I meal prepped and cleaned the kitchen, I headed to the library to return a few books and get a few new ones.
Looking forward to experimenting with some vegan eats in the future! And no, I’m not going vegan. Just changing it up.
We spent the rest of the weekend chillin’ with the pup.
Who apparently falls asleep looking at the couch. What a goob.
Hope you all had a great weekend!
