First off, another blog award I was nominated for by Alysha!

The Sunshine Award

Here is how it works.

This prize is awarded to “bloggers who positively and creatively inspire others in the blogosphere.” As an award winner, there are a few rules to follow

Thank the person who gave this award and write a post about it.

Answer the questions below.

Pass on the award to 10 fabulous bloggers, link their blogs, and let them know you awarded them.
1. Favorite color?   Blue!
2. Favorite Animal? DOGS. I am such a dog lover. Obviously.
3. Favorite number? 4. No idea why.
4. Favorite color?  …Is this supposed to be on here twice to trick me? Still blue.
5. Favorite drink? Non-alcoholic, iced tea. Alcoholic, Bloody Mary.
6. Facebook or Twitter? Depends. I use both heavily at work so I’m pretty much on them all day. For personal use, Facebook for news & updates, Twitter.
7. What is your passion?  Cooking, reading, working out (sometimes), helping others
8. Giving or getting presents?  I really love getting presents if I know the receiver is going to love their gift. Sometimes I’m not good at thinking up creative gifts though. Womp.
9. Favorite day of the week?  Friday night because I have the whooole weekend ahead of me!
10. Favorite flower?  Tulips and roses are pretty neat. Also, anything that Ryan ever gets me :) Awwwww

Thanks for nominating me, Alysha! :)

I got to lunch today wishing I had made more of the Pasta with Kale & Walnut Pesto leftovers. Seriously the most delicious dish I have made in a while. Must make more next time!

I was actually really wishing for leftovers last night when I made dinner and it turned out horribly. I think the chicken was bad, but I didn’t realize it until I had already made the entire dish. It was terrrrrible.

Tonight’s dinner, however, was not terrible. It in fact, was scrumptious.

Salmon BLT Sliders via How Sweet It Is!

It’s pretty much a guarantee that every single one of Jessica’s dishes will make you salivate. I bookmark nearly every one, but I think this may be the first I’ve actually made.

Her recipe used chipotle mayo, but I couldn’t find any adobo sauce or chipotles in adobo sauce (not even at Metro Market for local readers!) so I made spicy mayo with Frank’s hot sauce. A little mayo goes a long way!

Served alongside some sauteed zucchini and red onion.

Anything pairing salmon and bacon in my book gets a gold star!

Question: Do like mayo? I know some people are die hard one way or the other…I’m in between. It’s okay but there can’t be too much or it grosses me out!
