Evening bloggies! Time for another honeymoon post. I last left off with our Coffee & Chocolate tour, which was ah-mazing.

Now onto the Riu! Our last 3 days of the trip were all about relaxation and the beach at the Riu Guanacaste. The trek to get there however, took forever. I was so anxious to get there but we had a 4+hour drive to get there. After 3 hours we were able to stop to stretch our legs, get a snack, and go to the bathroom.

Excited to get there!

Finally, after another tortuous hour…we made it!

And was immediately greeted with fresh juice.

We quickly checked in and headed up to our room. We splurged and got 1 of 4 ocean view jacuzzi suites. Totally worth it.

Our own liquor dispensers, don’t mind if I do!

Stairway to heaven the jacuzzi (!!!)

So. Freaking. Cool.

We immediately got changed and headed down to the beach. But first, a few snapshots from our balcony!

Look at those bright colors! Ah, I’m in love.

Ryan obviously had the camera…and I don’t normally pose for a million shots, I swear :)

After a few hours on the beach, we decided to head back to the room to get some relief from the sun. My pasty white skin wasn’t used to that many rays!

We got all gussied up for dinner and headed to the buffet. For dinners, you had the option of the buffet (which changed themes every night) or you could make a reservation at one of the 3 restaurants. The first night we tried the buffet but chose two of the restaurants the other two nights.

Most days/nights were the same. Wake up, eat breakfast, lay on the beach, go to the pool, take a cat nap, eat dinner, watch the nightly show (which was super cheesy and ridiculous), go to bed. It was perfect and exactly what we wanted for the end of our trip.

More pictures!

Our honeymoon trip was fantastic and we couldn’t have asked for a better time. I couldn’t recommend Costa Rica, and all of the places we stayed at, enough. It was so wonderful and I hope we’re able to make a trip there again someday!

Sigh. I would have loved to stay at the jacuzzi suite! These pictures are the best ones you’ve posted. So beautiful.
