And we’re back for round 3 of the honeymoon updates! Missed round 1 or round 2?

Alright, now that we are caught up…let’s get to our next part of our trip: traveling to Monteverde.

We had to be ready to go by 7:30am for a drive-boat-drive transportation to our next hotel in Monteverde, Trapp Family Lodge. Our first drive was only 20ish minutes, which was easily our shortest trip in a vehicle during the whole honeymoon.

It was cool to have to take a boat to get to our next location. Can’t say that for many locations in the U.S.!

Our boat trip took another 20ish minutes and then we had to wait a bit for our van to pick us up. Little did I know that this impending van trip was going to take 3+ hours!!! It was not on the smoothest of roads so by the end I was feeling sick and ready to rest. Thankfully we got to stop at a local market before we got to our hotel to grab snacks, go to the bathroom and stretch.

Costa Rica’s version of diet coke. It tasted sweeter than the diet coke we have here in the U.S. to me. I loved that they were served in bottles!

Of course we became friends with the local dogs. So cute!

After our brief stop we packed back into the van (there were several other couples with us) to travel for another 45 minutes. Ryan was snapping some pictures during the trip to pass the time.

Love how GREEN everything is!

Once we finally arrived at our hotel we had about an hour to relax and then we were off to do a hanging bridge tour!

You should have brought the puppies home. Murphy could always use brothers and sisters.
