Happy Saturday! How’s the weekend going for you? Mine’s going pretty well. Crossing off some wedding to dos!
I accidentally slept in later than planned so I skipped Body Pump this morning. Farmer’s market > Body Pump. After having breakfast, Murph and I headed off. I’m hoping to make this a habit until the market closes in October.
Murph was tired after our run there and back. So typical.
Loot from the Farmer’s market. I find that if I meal plan before going there, I have a much easier time buying things than just buying random things and hope I can come up with something.
I dropped off Murph at the house and then headed to Costco. I need wedding bag items and a couple of random things (detergents, eggs).
I was planning to go to the grocery store later, but ended up going right after Costco to get it out of the way. The grocery store is by some clothing stores and I still need a rehearsal dinner dress (preferably white!) but decided to go dress shopping tomorrow. I’ve been looking (and trying on some) for a few weeks but everything looks weird. Hope I can find one!
Anyways, the grocery store was an easy trip. 20 minutes and I was out of there!
Here are all of the groceries I got:
Bananas, avocado, kale (2 bunches), CPK pizza (on sale and good for nights when you need something quick!, pasta.
Triscuits, wheat thins, brown rice, sweet potatoes, peaches, white onion and pecorino romano cheese.
Super excited for the Kind bars! I’ve never tried them before and they were 2 for $3. I normally don’t like paying over a $1 for bars but every once in a while I’ll splurge.
Though I meal planned last week, I kind of fell of the plan by Tuesday. Oh well, it happens sometimes. Just wanted to let you know that I don’t always follow the plan to a T.
Meal Plan (August 19-August 25):
- Sunday: Pasta w/ Kale & Walnut Pasta (Ryan requested this again..seriously MAKE this soon!)
- Monday: Crock Pot Salsa Chicken
- Tuesday: Eggplant Parmesan (winging this one!)
- Wednesday: Quiche & kale chips
- Thursday: Dinner w/ Alysha & Brenton
- Friday: Dinner w/ Ryan’s family members
- Saturday: Walnut Crusted Salmon
I think I see a movie in my future. Toodles!

That veggie pasta looks good – I’ve never seen it in my store before!
I would go to the farmers market over working out too
food is a priority! haha
We picked up a bunch of randoms at the farmers market in West Allis on saturday. It’s nice to finally have some fresh veggies in the house!
