Back In Business

I’m back, baby!

We finally have internet and cable! I could care less about cable (though I did miss watching some tv shows!) but I did miss having the internet because I missed blogging! I still have more honeymoon posts to get up as well as posts about the actual wedding day. We just received our copy of all 776 pictures so I’m excited to share them.

Anyways, before I get into more honeymoon posts, I’ll update you on what we did this weekend.

Fall is here and I wish it would stay. Too bad it’s already getting cold.

Ryan’s birthday was last Wednesday so I planned a day’s worth of events for this weekend to celebrate. First, we went to Elegant Farmer, a local apple orchard to go apple picking. We are newbies to apple picking so it was a fun time.

However, we didn’t actually pick the apples from the trees. Apparently, the cold front came too soon this year and they had to pick all of the apples off of the trees. But we got to pick apples from boxes so it worked.

Then we had probably the best donut I have ever had (and I don’t really like donuts).

Apple cider donut. Oh yes, it was as good as it sounds. And how can you not have warm apple cider with a apple cider donut?

Ryan approved.

We didn’t really eat breakfast so after some shopping in the market, we decided to grab lunch. Pulled pork sandwiches called our names so we obeyed!

The chips were too salty but the pulled pork sandwiches were spot on.

After some napping and cleaning up the apartment a bit (it’s still a major disaster…ugh), we headed off to dinner at…

Melting Pot! We’ve only been here once before (my 23rd birthday to be exact) and as soon as I saw a Groupon deal for it a few weeks ago I knew that’s where we would be heading.

Angry about our cheese not being there.

Happy now that the cheese has arrived!

Everything was so good but we were exhausted after this meal. Ha. We came home and watched some Grey’s Anatomy, thanks to Netflix, and then crashed.

Sunday we had to wake up at 7:30 for the cable guy to come and install our dish. Since I was already up, I headed out to the grocery store to get  that out of the way. I loved how quiet the store was…I need to go shopping early in the morning more often.

Speaking of shopping, here’s our meal plan for the week!

Meal Plan for October 7-October 13

The rest of the day is dedicated to catching up on IIN work, football watching and cleaning up our apartment. Have a good evening!
Question: What’s on your meal plan for the week? Have you ever been apple picking?

Apple cider donuts are SO good!

I’ve never been to The Melting Pot, but I’m dying to try it! Maybe in February when my birthday rolls around? I feel like it needs to be a special occasion, since I heard it can get expensive!

I feel the same way…we’ve only been for birthdays! It does get pricey but when you do go it is sooo worth it.
