I did some relaxing this weekend and it was glorious. I’m so used to cramming in a million things into one weekend but this weekend was a nice mix of productivity and lounging.
Friday
I told Ryan I really wanted to not think (or talk) about the wedding on Friday night. We decided to go out for dinner and watch a Redbox movie. For dinner, we headed to Chancery. Ryan had been raving about it from going there for a business lunch so I wanted to see what the hype was all about.
Ryan ordered the Bloody Mary for the sole purpose of the 3 deviled eggs. The Bloody, and the eggs, were pretty good actually.
We ended up sharing the Beer Cheese Soup which was my favorite item of the night. How can you go wrong with beer and cheese?
After contemplating for a good 15 minutes, I finally settled on the Shrimp Avocado BLT sandwich with fries. I have been craving fries like no other and since I rarely get them I decided to go for it.
Disappointingly, the sandwich was mediocre. The shrimp has some sort of weird spice on it and the flavors did not go well together. At least the fries were good!
We rented The Ides of March, which I’m not gonna lie I could not get into at all. We both passed out at 10 watching it because it wasn’t grabbing our attention. We finished it the next day but I still wasn’t impressed.

Saturday
Saturday was the most perfect morning. I woke up around 8:30 and lounged around a bit with Murph (Ryan was golfing). After blog reading, I made some coffee, eggs and toast and then got ready to head to the Farmer’s Market with Murphy. It was perfect outside and I haven’t had a chance to get to the market in a while. Of course, everyone was fawning over Murphy and how handsome he is…if they only knew him…
After getting back, I headed out again to do some more shopping for honeymoon clothes. I think I am almost set! I’m excited to wear all of the “Costa Rica ish” dresses
I came home after running around doing other miscellaneous tasks (grocery shopping, returning earrings, welcome bag research). Neither of us were very hungry so we didn’t eat dinner until around 9pm. I was really craving pizza but A) didn’t want to spend money and B) didn’t want to feel like crap after eating really greasy pizza so I made a make-shift pizza with english muffin bread. It at least satisfied the craving for now!

Sunday
I woke up to the smell of breakfast being made by Ryan around 7am.
Homemade biscuits and gravy?! I think I’ll keep this guy around
I left these two sleepyheads to go meet with fellow IIN student and blogger Nicole at the Loaf & Jug for lunch. Definitely my kind of place with sandwiches, soups, salads and more. (Speaking of IIN, I have a scholarship up to $1000 until August 17! Email me at brittneylhorn {at} gmail {dot} com if you want more details!)
Other to do’s for today are catching up on my IIN work (kind of behind…), cleaning, my last IIN coaching appt and making dinner. I’m excited to have one more relaxing night before the work week starts. But what am I supposed to watch without the Olympics on?!

I sooo have to take a visit to the Chancery (they have one in Tosa, which is the one I would probably go to). Beer cheese soup with a pretzel sounds like heaven right now.
I’m shocked you haven’t been to one!
